I have been training with Tristan for a little over three years now. It has been money very well spent. Tristan is a wonderful person to work with. He knows his stuffand he has a fabulously supportive attitude. Friendly! Out going, funny. You will find yourself doubled over laughing between sets with his great sense of humor. He makes the hard work very enjoyable. You may not think you are making gains with the weight lifting but, trust me, you will be. Every time. You will know you are making gains when Tristan gives you the wry smile and handshake after a tough set and then says “You made a gain there by the way!” The covert psychological boostis a huge confidence builder. You will show up the next time knowing you are capable of far more than you ever thought. Tristan will make sure of it. Coupled with the Muy Tay boxing in addition to weight lifting you will get a very active physical workout. I really enjoy my training with Tristan.
Training with Tristan has been more than fitness.The 4 years I’ve know him it’s been about Health,Discipline,Passion and Self Motivation.He helped push me to my potential and Learn different workouts for each muscle,with most trainers there friends or just your fitness coach.With Tristan it’s family he’s that Big brother always checking making sure your focus on your goals,helping with knowledge and giving you advice in order for you to achieve them,I’m thankful for having him as a Trainer and Brother through this journey.
I realize that this worked for some people to get started but as soon as I booked the role, and the job was done I would re-vert back to my ways. You know I wasn’t really able to think for myself when I because I was just following the leader. Tristan’s training was different, I learned that I could get the same results while loving the process and having fun. That’s insane. His methods allowed me to focus on myself. Moreover, emphasizing the Need to spend more time with myself to get my personal thoughts out there. My personal goals. What I like about our sessions is that it doesn’t stop at the gym, he’s always keeping me accountable and thats something I am so grateful for. I have new goals which is to find my true self through the things that I love, rather than having to put the fire under my butt and make a lot of noise, but to evolve silently and just be. I am forever grateful for the coaching and I cannot thank him enough for the results not only is it really fun but its also more effective for me because I’m moving towards the lifestyle that I’ve always dreamed of. Who said pressure had to be a bad thing? With Tristan being my trainer I’m able to do things with love and really explore different movements without the stress and I’m progressing everyday. Kinda like a donkey chasing a carrot HAHA. Rather than a dog chasing me. I WOULD 10/10 RECCOMEND! I’m looking forward to our training sessions in the future, I no longer judge myself as harshly, thank you for seeing the potential in me and allowing me to reach for the stars myself. Ultimately as my trainer, thats more than anything I could ask for, and no one will ever have to ask because the results speak for themselves.
Tristan is an amazing Personal Trainer to be working with, when I first consulted him, I asked for his help on how to do proper deadlifts at first as I always see many others doing that lift at the gym. Few sessions in with him, I achieved my first PR of 275lb 1 Rep Max & it was all thanks to him for being very coachable & providing feedback. Later on I decided to be on a training program for extra training sessions & I lost 6-8lbs & gotten leaner muscle mass. I want to thank him once again for his work ethic on helping me as a client growing physically but mentally too, if it wasn't for him, I would not be on where I am today being proudly 10 years going to the gym & taking it seriously & staying discipline to my goals on wanting to compete for powerlifting. I recommend Tristan to anyone who is looking for a PT to my friends & family.
I started training with Tristan about 4 years ago. Back then I was rather large and lacked self-confidence. In 2017 I entered a 90 days weight loss competition with Steve Nash Fitness and they paired me up with a personal trainer, Tristan Cabida. I went from weighing 220 lbs. and after training with him during the 90 days, my end result was 165 lbs. I don’t think I would’ve lost large amounts of weight without him. Especially in a lot of weight in 90 days it was very nerve-wracking for me, but instead he comforted me that it will work out fine. In the end, thanks to Tristan I got first place in that location and I got second place in the lower mainland district. Nor was he just a personal trainer, he is also a great life coach, and a good friend of mine now. He would never force you into anything, but instead he would use words of motivation to keep you going when you’re in doubt. I definitely highly recommend him to anyone that needs a personal trainer and a life coach.
